The funeral home operates from a historic two-story structure at the corner of West DeKalb and Campbell Streets, formerly the 1823 home of Phineas Thronton.
George Collins, who studied at the McAllister School of Embalming in New York, operated the funeral home with his brothers Mack Sr. and Amon Jr. following their father's death in 1960. The funeral home continues to serve families throughout Camden, Bishopville, and surrounding Kershaw County communities.
