About Cleveland Funeral Home
Darrell W. Main purchased Cleveland Funeral Home in August 2013 from Lynn S. Cleveland, continuing a tradition of service to Chaumont, Watertown, and Cape Vincent. Main earned his Associates Degree in Mortuary Sciences from SUNY Canton in 1994 and joined the funeral home staff in 2001 before acquiring the business. He is active in the Jefferson/Lewis County Funeral Directors Association, Watertown Noon Rotary, American Legion Auxiliary, Elks Club, and the Black River Valley Club.
Licensed funeral director Brittney G. Umstead serves as manager and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Funeral Services Administration with high honors from SUNY Canton in 2015. She completed her residency at Cleveland Funeral Home immediately after graduation. The funeral home operates as an independent, locally owned business with three locations serving Jefferson County communities.
