Kevin Cease is a third-generation funeral director who has worked with Cease Family Funeral Homes since 1984. Co-owner Kelly Cease Bowman graduated from the University of Minnesota Department of Mortuary Science in 1992 and became part owner in 1995 alongside her father Wayne Cease and brothers Kevin, Kent, and Kurt Cease.
The funeral home serves Bemidji and surrounding Beltrami County communities including Blackduck and Cass Lake. Kelly's daughter Kara graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science in 2022 and now works in the funeral profession, continuing the family tradition into a fourth generation.
