About Casto Funeral Home

Casto Funeral Home was founded in 1953 by James W. and Lila R. Casto in Evans and expanded to Ravenswood in 1992. The business is now operated by second-generation owner James W. Casto, Jr., a 1975 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, alongside his wife Karen. The funeral home represents three generations of single-family ownership, making it one of the oldest family-operated funeral service providers in West Virginia.

James W. Casto, Jr. is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association. He is also a member and past master of Cottageville Lodge #54 AF & AM and a member of the Royal Arch Masons.

The Casto family operates multiple locations across the region, including the original Evans location and facilities in Mason and Spencer, providing burial and cremation services throughout Jackson County and surrounding areas.
