About Broussards Mortuary
Broussards Mortuary has served Kountze and the broader Hardin County area as part of a five-generation family operation established in 1889. The Broussard family opened their first funeral parlor in Southeast Texas in the late 1800s when founder Alex Broussard operated A. Broussard Livery Stable, later expanding to multiple locations including a brick facility in downtown Beaumont and a residence at Calder Avenue and Forest Street.
The family maintains locations in both Beaumont and Kountze, operating independently without corporate ownership. The firm's history spans more than 125 years of continuous family operation, with each generation maintaining the original commitment to serve families throughout Southeast Texas.
