About Broussards Mortuary
Broussards Mortuary was established in 1889 by Alex Broussard, who began with a livery stable and funeral parlor in Southeast Texas. The business has remained family-owned and operated for five generations, maintaining independence while corporate consolidations have transformed the funeral industry. The family operated from downtown Beaumont before relocating to Calder Avenue and Forest Street, then to McFaddin in 1958, and now serves families from their Nederland location.
The Broussard family has built a reputation on affordability and accessibility, continuing the founder's commitment to serving the entire community. After more than 125 years in business, the firm emphasizes continuity and maintains the standards established by Alex Broussard in the late 1800s.
