Boyer Funeral Home is a second-generation family business founded by Arthur H. Boyer and now operated by David A. Boyer, a licensed funeral director and embalmer with over 50 years of experience serving Pike County families. David Boyer graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and holds an insurance license from the Ohio Department of Insurance for families who wish to arrange pre-need funeral funding.

The funeral home serves Piketon and the surrounding communities with traditional burial and cremation services. David Boyer is supported by his family, including his son Gregory D. Boyer and daughter Lynne M. Morgan, continuing the family's long-standing presence in the area.

Beyond funeral services, David Boyer has deep roots in the community as a 65-year member of the Waverly First Presbyterian Church, a 50-year member and Past Master of Orient Lodge #321, and a Past Patron of Waverly Chapter #99 Order of the Eastern Star. He is a veteran of the 216th Combat Engineers, Ohio National Guard, and has served as Past President of the Waverly Chamber of Commerce.
