The business traces its roots to 1892 when Sam Bissler arrived in Kent and began working for Ira Herriff's furniture store and funeral parlor, eventually purchasing and expanding the operation. The funeral home is currently owned and operated by the Bissler family, maintaining the multi-generational heritage established more than 110 years ago.
