About Birk Funeral Home
Birk Funeral Home in Hendricks became part of Darren and Jessica Houseman's funeral home group in 2005, with the Housemans taking sole ownership and merging five locations into one business in 2010. Darren Houseman, a licensed funeral director since 1995 and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, also holds an insurance license to assist families with prefunding and pre-arranged funerals.
Houseman served as Deuel County Coroner from 2002 to 2020 and continues as Deputy Coroner, reflecting long-standing ties to the Lincoln County and Deuel County area surrounding Hendricks. The funeral home offers both burial and cremation arrangements for area families.
