Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home traces its roots to 1938, when Brown Service Insurance Company built the facility to serve families holding Brown Service burial policies. Originally one of only two funeral homes in the area, the business later absorbed the records of Jacob's Funeral Parlor when that establishment closed. The facility has been expanded over the decades to include multiple parlors, a chapel, and additional office space.
