Albert Auclair and his wife Alice founded Auclair Funeral Home in 1944 at 1521 South Main Street in Fall River. The business relocated to its current 690 South Main Street location in 1951, and upon Albert's death in 1967, his son Charles Auclair assumed operation of the family business.

The facility has undergone multiple upgrades over the decades, including a portico, enlarged parking lot, automatic doors, additional bathrooms, and a completely renovated interior and exterior. The funeral home serves Fall River along with Somerset, Swansea, Westport, Dighton, Freetown, Little Compton, Tiverton, and Aquidneck Island.
