The funeral home later merged operations with Christie-Anderes Funeral Home to serve Riley County families under shared ownership.
The chapel was expanded in the 1970s to seat 200 people. The funeral home operates from the same historic South Broadway location where the Holmes family first established the business nearly 90 years ago.
