William John Ward purchased the Weston chapel in 1914, serving what was then a small rural community. His sons William John (Bill) and Lindsay continued the business, with Lindsay briefly operating a second chapel in Woodbridge during the 1930s. The third generation, brothers William John (Jack) and Alan M. Ward, took over in 1968, and the fourth generation joined in the early 1990s when Jack's son John and Alan's son Cameron entered the business.
The historic Weston chapel building was selected to be featured in Doors Open Toronto in 2013. Ward Funeral Homes serves families in Brampton and surrounding communities including Aurora and Milton.
