Rominger Funeral Home — Funeral Home in Manchester, KY

Rominger Funeral Home was established in October 1938 when C. Fred and Minva Rominger arrived in Manchester, becoming the first funeral home in Clay County. The business represents four generations of the Rominger family, with C. Fred following his father William Wesley Rominger into funeral service, then passing the tradition to his son D. Fred, who graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1970.

Today the funeral home is owned and operated by fourth-generation family members Tara and Wesley Rominger, both licensed funeral directors. Tara graduated from Mid America College of Funeral Service in 1996 and holds both funeral director and embalmer licenses. Wesley completed his apprenticeship and received his funeral director license in June 2000.

Gary Brockman serves on the staff, continuing the role his father Fred Brockman began at the funeral home in April 1964. The business has remained family-owned and operated in Clay County for over 80 years.
