Reynolds-Love Funeral Home was established in 1962 when founder Marlin Reynolds, a former farmer from Seward, moved to Lexington after graduating from mortuary school in Dallas. The firm has grown to serve Lexington, Callaway, and Overton through the acquisition of the Timm Funeral Home in Callaway and Romatzke Funeral Home in Overton.

Now in its third generation of family ownership, the funeral home is operated by Nick Reynolds, grandson of the founder, following John Reynolds' retirement in 2023. The staff includes two full-time licensed funeral directors and embalmers: Nick Reynolds and Jessica Medrano-Angel, a Lexington native who joined in 2022 after graduating from mortuary college in Denver. Jessica brings bilingual capabilities to serve local families.

The funeral home employs two dedicated pre-need specialists, Sheri Giesbrecht and Joel Frickey, who are available by appointment for preplanning and prefunding consultations. Services can be held in the on-site chapel, at a church, or at alternative venues chosen by families. The firm offers trained life celebrants to lead services when clergy are not selected, providing an option for families seeking non-religious memorial experiences.
