Frye Funeral Home — Funeral Home in Nahunta, GA

Frye Funeral Home traces its origins to 1957 when Guy Chambless founded the business as a family-owned operation. After Chambless's death, his daughter Allison Chambless Carter became sole owner in 1994. Following her passing in 2000, longtime employee Ernest Frye and his wife Virginia Highsmith Frye purchased the funeral home and continue to operate it as a family business.

The funeral home underwent major renovation in 2007, adding a 200-seat capacity chapel, casket display room, handicap accessible bathrooms, prep room, and two offices. The expansion added approximately 5,000 square feet to the original building, along with a carport and covered porches. The facility includes handicap accessible features throughout, including a cement ramp added during earlier renovations in 2006.

Frye Funeral Home serves families throughout Nahunta and Brantley County with both traditional burial and cremation services. The funeral home offers tribute videos, keepsakes, and live streaming for family and friends unable to attend services in person.
