Cooper Funeral Home has been family owned and operated since 1975, when founder Ken Cooper opened the business in Grants Lick before relocating to the current Alexandria location in 2008. Ken Cooper, a licensed embalmer and funeral director for over 50 years and graduate of Cincinnati Mortuary in 1965, is joined by his son J.D. Cooper, who earned his funeral director and embalmer's license from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1989.
The funeral home provides traditional services, cremation with viewing options, memorial services, immediate burial, and direct cremation. Ken Cooper maintains active involvement in the community through the Masonic Order and Newport Elks, and the business has offered 24-hour service to Northern Kentucky families throughout its nearly five decades of operation.
