Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Lee(Molly) O’Neal Thomas will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 12:00 Noon at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Winfred McCloud, Pastor officiating, and burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ethel Lee (Molly) O’Neal Thomas, was born November 24, 1937, to the late Herschel and Magnolia O’Neal in Laurens County. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Thomas, a daughter-in-law Maudestine Thomas, siblings, Hattie Mae Taylor, Estoria Smith, Eula Pearl Terry, Willie Frank O’Neal, Doretha Coley, and Johnny Ford. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Dublin, GA, where she was an usher and an active participant in Sunday school, Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School. She gave her life to the Lord and served Him with her profound faith unconditionally. She was a former employee of Bassett Furniture Company and a domestic worker for several families. She transitioned from this life on June 12, 2016, at Shamrock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dublin, GA. Survivors include her husband, Walter Thomas, Jr., children, Janice (Rev. Danny) Pittman, Dublin, GA; Cynthia B. Thomas, Lithonia, GA; siblings, Eugene (Ella Mae) O’Neal, Herschel (Ruthie) O’Neal, Pastor Frankie (Pastor Leola) O’Neal, Dorothy Wells, Dublin, GA; Florine King, Corine O’Neal, Winston-Salem, N.C.; a cousin who was like a sister, Leoma Brown, Dublin, GA; sisters-in-law, Juanita Tillman, Columbus, GA; Mildred O’Neal, Winston-Salem, N.C.; brothers-in-law, Rudolph Thomas, Donald Thomas, Columbus, GA; Felton Coley, Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandchildren, Keith (Ashanti) Clayton, Justin Wiggins, Kristal Thomas, and Nicholas Thomas; several great grandchildren, one great great- grandchild, other relatives, and friends. Mrs. Thomas will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. Friends are being received at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. Hershel and Ruthie O’Neal, 879 Shamrock Court, Dublin, Ga. Arrangements entrusted to Wyche’s Funeral Home, Inc.
