HICKORY GROVE -- Ervin Miller Moss, Jr. of 2333 Howells-Ferry Road died Wednesday, October 09, 2013, at home.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Long and Rev. Tommy Hope officiating. .The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Ervin was a son of the late Ervin Moss, Sr. and Virgie Cleo Moss. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hickory Grove. He retired from the S.C. Highway Department after 34 years of service and he served in the United States Air Force for 3 years.
He is survived by wife Peggy Rainey Moss of Hickory Grove, SC, 2 daughters Sherry Walden (Wayne), Carol S. Johnson, 2 sons Ervin (Buddy) M. Moss III , William (Willie) H. Moss, 4 stepsons Jimmy Johnson ,Ronald L. Johnson , James R. Johnson, Paul Johnson and stepdaughter Ruby L. Norman and many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Marsha Nelson, and his step daughter Linda Johnson.
