CLOVER -- Mr Elmer Ray Parrish, Sr. 85, of 512 Owens Rd. went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 17, 2014, at his home in Clover. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
The funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday October 21, 2014, at First Wesleyan Church in York, with Pastor Don Avore and Pastor Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be at Mount Holly UMC Church Cemetery in Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 20, 2014 at Bratton Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.and other times at his sons home 528 Owens Road, Clover.
Elmer was a son of the late Brooks Reger Parrish and Sarah Partlow Parrish. He retired from Celanese where he worked in Mechanical Services for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Nichols Parrish of Clover, SC, son, Ray Parrish (Melinda) of Clover, SC, and 2 daughters, Beth Holder (Willie) of Raleigh, NC, and Phyllis Parker (Joe) of Rock Hill, SC.; grandchildren, Robert Holder, Dawn Holder Glover (Donald), William Holder, Sadie Holder Brown (Blake), Chad Parker (Lisa), Jodi Parker Sturgis (Tim), and Dalton Parrish and 15 great grandchildren, and a number nieces and nephews.
