Edna Clark
YORK -- Margaret Edna Cabaniss Clark, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center.
The funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Central Baptist Church with. Rev. Carey Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 1-2:30 PM at the church.
Edna was a loving, inspiring Christian Woman who was devoted to her church, family, and friends and is now rejoicing in “beautiful Heaven”. She retired as church secretary at Central Baptist Church after 19 years. She developed her own personal card ministry and her list filled each day of the calendar. Edna got the most pleasure when working in her yard tending flowers and mowing grass. She was a charter member of Rainbow Garden Club. As a faithful member of Central Baptist Church she served as Sunday School teacher, WMU director, maintained the flower calendar, served as Church Clerk for 34 years and was a choir member for 49 years.
Edna was a daughter of the late Oscar Beattie Athel Cabaniss and Maggie Belle Gold Cabaniss. She was the widow of John F. Clark, Sr.
She is survived by son, John Franklin Clark, Jr. of York, S.C., daughter, Ann Clark Hogue (Harry) of Clover, S.C., daughter, Sarah Clark Lineberger (Tony) of York, S.C., 2 sister-in-laws, Jane Cabaniss of Rock Hill, Louise "Tillie" Cabaniss of York, 5 grandchildren, Vivian C. Hicks (Jim), Matt Hogue (Laura), Josh Hogue (Jeannine), Julie L. Dunnavant (Doug), Jared C. Lineberger (Dana), 9 great grandchildren; Allan, Rachel, Caroline, Isabella, Macy, Andrew, Lilly, Harper, Hudson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Interim Home Health and the amazing Interim Hospice Team.
