Mason Smarr
GAFFNEY -- Edgar Mason Smarr, 55, of Gaffney passed away Tuesday, April 02, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Unity Baptist Church in Hickory Grove with Rev. Mark Dellinger and Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service.
Mason was a son of the late Mahlone Smarr and Edith Mason Smarr. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of C&M Convenience Store in Hickory Grove, S.C. Mason also served in the United States Navy and was a Volunteer First Responder with Twin River Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Christa Southard Smarr, a daughter Stacy Smarr Kimble, of Clover, and son, Matthew Stewart Smarr, sisters Martha Crawford, Jenette Lemmons, both of Gastonia, N.C., Karen Smith of Lexington, S.C., mother Edith Smarr and 3 grandchildrn, Mason Lane Smarr, Morgan Grace Kimble, and Kayla Denise Kimble.
