YORK -- Douglas "Doug" McArthur McCarley, 71, of 318 Lincoln Road died Monday, May 5, 2014, at Park Point Village in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church York with the Rev. Trey Doyle officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Doug was a son of the late Henry McCarley and Lucille Perry McCarley. He was a member of First Baptist Church in York, was a retired mechanic with Duke Energy, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Doug was also a member of the Scottish Rites, the Philanthropic Masonic Lodge #32, and was a member of the York County Crescent Shrine Club.
He is survived by wife Brenda Adams McCarley of York, SC, daughter Heather Montgomery (Kevin) of Clover, SC, grandsons, Jackson and Larson Montgomery, a nephew who is like a son Mark Blackmon (Liz) of York, SC and his children Matthew Hill and Jacob Blackmon. Doug is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jimmy McCarley (Judy) of Chester, SC, Evelyn Yarborough of Chester, SC, Betty Walters of Rock Hill, SC, and Hugh McCarley (Loretta) of Chester, SC.
