SHARON – Mrs. Dorothy McCarley Cook, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at her home in Sharon.
Family and friends will meet at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 12:30 PM and a graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Craig Marshall officiating.
Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late John McCarley and Lillian Horne McCarley. Dorothy was the widow of Floyd Harold Cook. She was retired as a General Manager at Day’s Inn, and continued to work at Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union until retiring at the age of 90.
She is survived by son George McCarley Cook and wife Faye P. Cook of Sharon, daughter-in-law Judith E. Cook of Jacksonville Beach, FL, grandchildren, Cherie Cook of Sharon, and William H. Cook Jr. of Jacksonville Beach, FL, and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by son William H. Cook Sr.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Paula Jones and Brandi Griffin for their care and love they showed to Mrs. Cook.
