Doris Brown Wray, 85, of York, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Gloryland Baptist Church in Smyrna, SC with Rev. Eddie Hardin and Rev. Thor Smith officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Glorlyland Baptist Church from 1-2 PM .Friday, January 20, 2017..
Born in York County, Doris was a daughter of the late Velt Brown and Jessie Lee Brackett Brown. She was the widower of Robert "Bob" Wray. Doris was a member at Gloryland Baptist Church and retired from Champion Laboratories in York.
Doris is survived by her sons Bobby Wray (Marcia) of Clover, SC, Darryl Wray (Tammy) of Pageland, SC, Eddie Wray (Kim) of Kannapolis, NC, Ricky Wray (Tammy) of Jamestown, NC, Wayne Wray (Angela) of Sharon, SC, Johnny Wray of York, SC, Tony Smith ( Jennifer) of York, SC, daughters, Terry Jenkins (Tommy) of Clover, SC, Tammy Smarr (Keith) of Hickory Grove, SC, Peggy Wray, Pat Scoggins, Angie Wray, all of York, SC, 28 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her daughters,Geraldine Pierce and Vicky Warren
