Don Olerud
BISHOPVILLE -- Donald Theodore Olerud, 79, of 51 National Drive passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Gary Blobaum officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Don was a son of the late Theodore Melvin Olerud and Mildred Skifton Olerud. He was a retired diesel mechanic and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the 82nd Airborne. He was the widower of Patsy Ann Banks Olerud.
He is survived by children, Eric Olerud of Bishopville, SC, Michael Olerud of York, SC, Donna Johnson of Hamlet, NC, Jane Seaborn of Michigan, Lori Watson of Hamlet, NC, Don Olerud, Jr. of Wake Forest, NC, Sandy Moore of Gastonia, NC, Pam Horne of Hamlet, NC, sisters and brother, Marilyn Strangstalien of Milwaukee, WI, Dianne Redsten of Madison, WI, Darlene Mickelberg of Maple Grove, MN, Gary Olerud of Westby, WI, and Marjorie Avery of Leesburg, FL, 19 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
