Dean Levoide Fender, 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Sam Roberson and Rev. Barry Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Dean was the son of the late Ralph Otis Fender and Myrtle Harkelrode Fender. He was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the US Army, and retired from Boyd Tire and Appliance in York, SC.
Dean is survived by his wife Nancy Sue Mack Fender, children, Wayne Clark of Nebo, NC; Judy Jones of Townville, SC; Reca Edwards of Arrington, TN; Cynthia F. Clark of Nebo, NC; Mike Fender of York, SC; Haley Fender of Randelman, NC; Becka Barnett of Snow Camp, NC; Jennifer Petty of Burlington, NC; sister Barbara “Bob” Allison of Marion, NC; nieces Vickie Hutcherson and Renee Freeman both of Marion, NC; 24 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Dean is also survived by three grandchildren whom he helped raise, Samantha, Shanon, and Jonathan Moss. In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Hope Maynard and his second wife Ruby Bryant Fender.
