Remembering Clarence

A life well lived celebration for Clarence Edward Rozar, resident of 1244 Evergreen Road, Dublin, Georgia will be held Saturday, April19, 2025 at 11:00 A. M. in the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 US Highway 441 S. Irwinton, GA 31042. The Rev. Harold J. Banks will officiate and the interment will follow in the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church Cemetery Mr. Clarence Rozar peacefully transcended his earthly vessel on Friday, April 11, 2025 in the comfort of his home in Dublin, Georgia surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Dublin on February 12, 1943, Clarence was the first-born son to his parents, the late Anthony Maceo and Bertha Lee Rozar. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas B. Rozar, Lucious L. White and his grandson Deandre Pitts. Clarence lived a life marked by integrity and dedication. He was a faithful and committed member of Mt. Tilla Missionary Baptist Church for over 75 years. He served as a Sunday School Superintendent, choir member, and chairman of the deacon board until his health declined. Mr. Rozar attended Millville High School, and was a graduate of the class of 1960. After graduating high school, he went on to attend Fort Valley State College. After his college years, he began his career at JP Stevens. Then he went on to work at BASF in McIntyre, Georgia, where he would later retire after 35 years due to his health. In his extra time, he enjoyed singing with the Southern Harmoneers for over 30 years. Honoring his memory and celebrating his life is his forever love of 57 years, Gladys O'Neal Rozar and his three children, Sheila (Maurice) Jordan of Dublin, GA, Stanford (Ruthie) Rozar Sr. of Southaven, MS and Cedric Rozar of Bonaire, GA; 12 grandchildren, Dr. Maya, Rebecca, Lyric Tynette Jordan, Maranda Oesse) Palmer, Stanford Jr., Sierra and Caleb Rozar, Shami and Amber Rozar, Tyler (Delaney) and Maggie Bunn; three sisters, Dorothy (Lugine) Hall, Viola Chapman and Mary Coleman; two brothers, Matthew (Linda) White and Anthony (Bobbie) White; great grandchildren, Laken Butler, Myla Rozar, Ta'Shun and Akeylah Kelsey, Jeremiah Hill and Finley Bunn, and host of nieces, nephews and devoted cousins.
