YORK -- Clarence Marshall Owen, 77, of 956 Owens Road passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville.
A graveside service will be at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Wallace Tinsley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Marshall was a son of the late Martin D. Owen and Reola Falls Owen. He was the widower of Margaret Hawkins Owen. Marshall was retired from the York School District Bus Shop as a maintenance mechanic, and also served in the South Carolina National Guard.
He is survived by best friends Donald and Sara Black, adopted grandchildren, Tammy Black, Gene Black, Amber Shaver and husband Darrell, adopted great grandchildren, Taylor Shaver, and Tosha Shaver, cousins, Bill Owen and Jim Owen (Ann), and numerous other cousins.
Memorials may be made to the York Fire Department, 14 N Roosevelt St, York, SC 29745, or to charity of one's choice.
