Charles “Chick” Morrill, 83, of Clover, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Lake Wylie
A memorial service will be at 11:30 am on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Divine Saviour Catholic
Church in York, SC, with Father Augustin Guzman officiating.
Born in Chicago, IL, Chick was the son of the late Charles Lenard Morrill and Margaret Putnam Morrill. He served in the US Air Force for ten years and flew for United Airlines in various aircraft until his retirement in 1994. He was a very active man for most of his life and was able to build and fix just about anything. Chick was an Eagle Scout and started two troops, one of them being Troop 140 in York, SC. Chick was generous with his time and had a character that was unforgettable. He was a member of Divine Saviour Catholic Church and despite his degradation due to dementia, was loved. Chick FLEW WEST.
Chick is survived by his lovely and patient wife of 61 years, Maurita Butler Morrill, son, Michael Charles
Morrill (Kimberly Mae Lynn), daughters, Wendy Morrill Burkhard (Robert), Jeanine Morrill Schreiner
(Thomas). He had seven grandchildren, Jackson Charles Morrill, Christopher Michael Morrill, Matthew
David Burkhard (Hannah Smith Burkhard), Jessica Burkhard Pringle (Brian), Robert C. Schreiner,
Samantha K. Schreiner, Nicole M. Schreiner, and one great grandchild, Brice Pringle.
In addition to his parents, Chick was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Joseph Morrill.
