Charles Betchler
CLOVER -- Mr. Charles Robert Betchler, 80, of Clover passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, peacefully at his home.
A memorial service will be held at Bratton Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, January 4, 2016 with Rev. Carl Morton officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 3-4 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
A native of York County, Charles was a son of the late Robert Betchler and Irene Whitaker Betchler.
Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and later retired from Duke Energy. He was a devoted member to the Sandy River Hunt Club where he spent most of his days hunting and fishing. Blessed with four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Charles’ days were full of laughs and excitement watching each one grow.
Charles is survived by his wife, Janice McCarter Betchler of Clover, daughters, Kelly Childers (Chris) of York and Gayle Crowe of Fort Mill. He was preceded in death by his son Richie Betchler and his sister Catherine Goforth.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Providence Hospice and especially to April Johnson and Tammy Dover for the care they provided Mr. Betchler.
The family would like everyone to wear camouflage in honor of Charles to the service and visitation if possible.
