Catherine Josey

Funeral services for Ms. Catherine Josey will be held, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 P. M. in the Buckeye Missionary Baptist Church. The Pastor David G. Flowers will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Josey ,the daughter of Lois Norris and the late James Josey was born August 8, 1958 was born in Johnson County, Georgia. She departed this life on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Shamrock Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Dublin, Georgia. Ms. Josey was a member of the Buckeye Baptist Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. James Josey, a son, Mr. Tyrone Josey, two brothers, Mr. Leon Josey and Mr. Edward Josey, and a sister, Mrs. Earlene Chambers. Ms. Josey leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, her mother, Lois Norris, Wrightsville, Ga., three daughters, Felisha Thomas, Sandersville, Ga., LaFreeda (Robert) Hunt, South Carolina, and Cassandra ( Chris) Gamble, South Carolina. Five sisters, Betty (Jerry) Swint, Mary Alice (Ben) Samuels, Mary Josey, Yvonne (Ben) Murray and Marie Josey. Four brothers, Lorenzo (Emily) Josey, Ken Josey, Allen Josey and Larry Josey. Six grandchildren, a devoted uncle, L. W. Norris, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ms. Josey will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services for viewing Friends are being received at the family residence, 426 Crawford Road, Wrightsville, Georgia.
