YORK -- Carl Lee Pressley, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at his home in York.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2016 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Long officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Union Baptist Church.
Carl Lee was a son of the late Van Buren “Bud” Pressley and Mammie Osment Pressley. He was an active member of Union Baptist Church for 65 years. Carl Lee retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing as an inspector after 42 years, he was member of the Philantropic Lodge # 32 and York County Cresent Shrine Club. He also served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Rebecca Dickson Pressley of York, SC, daughter, Teresa Pressley Welborn, son, Marvin Lee Pressley (Helen Snowden Pressley), daughter, Lucille Pressley Quarles, grandchildren, William Michael Whitesides (Kathy), Kevin Lee Whitesides (Amanda), Carl Derrick Pressley, James Todd Pressley(Shannon Hurley Pressley), Anthony Dwayne Morrison (Monica), great grandchildren, Graham Whitesides, Will Whitesides, Parker James Pressley, Toby Hurley Pressley, Grace Ann Pressley, Cameron Morrison and Alex Morrison
