HICKORY GROVE -- Calvin C. Gilfillan, 89, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, at his home in Hickory Grove.
A graveside service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Calvin was a son of the late John J. Gilfillan and Effie Brakefield Gilfillan. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing after 38 Years. Calvin was in United Staes Army. He is the widower of Norma Jean Queen Gilfillan and Dot Moss Gilfillan.
He is survived by son, Joe Gilfillan (Debbie), grandson, Joey Gilfillan (Mary Ashley), great grandchildren, Will and Salleyann Gilfillan, grandson, Daniel Gilfillan (Diane), great grandchildren, Claire, Calvin, and Christian Gilfillan, daughter, Rita G. Bratton (Tommie), grandson, Thomas Bratton, ( Misty), great grandchildren, Meg and Millie Bratton, daughter, Sandy G. McQueen (Bob), sister, Jean White of Gaffney, SC, brother, Thomas Bert Gilfillan (Pauline) of Clover, 2 special neices, Ann Batchelor of Blacksburg, SC, and Ruth McGill of Smyrna, SC., step children Faye Culp (Steve), Gene Moss, Terry Moss. He was preceded in death by stepson Ricky Moss.
