Brenda Faye Smith Certain, 77, of York passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 peacefully at her home.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Bratton Funeral Home with the Reverend Vivian Hart officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Wednesday at Bratton Funeral Home.
Born in Belmont, NC, Brenda was the daughter of the late James Carl Smith, Sr. and Winnie Gibson Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William Ross Certain, Sr., sons, Billy Ray Sigmon, Jr. (Sherrie), Danny Shane Sigmon (Connie), daughters, Terri Lynn Randle (Tony), Athena Alice Sigmon Chappell (John), step-son, William Ross Certain, Jr. (Jennifer), step-daughter, Denise Certain Crocker (Brian) , sister, Joyce Adams, 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
