Billy Stroupe Cloninger, 95, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Wayne T Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be held at 3PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Olivet Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chip McArthur officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Sunday in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Born December 8, 1922 in High Shoals, NC, Billy was a son of the late Loy Walter Cloninger and Lannie Jane Stroupe Cloninger, and was the widower of Edna Parham Cloninger. He was a retired dairy farmer, a veteran of the United States Marines, and a member at Olivet Presbyterian Church in McConnells.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Cloninger Nance (Cecil) of McConnells, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister, Jean Robinson, and brother, Harold Cloninger.
In addition to his parents and wife, Billy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three sisters and one brother.
