Beulah Washington

Funeral Services for Mrs. Beulah M. Washington will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at
11:00 A. M. in the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Highway 19 South, Dublin,
Ga. The Rev. Nathan Amest, Pastor will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Beulah Mae Davis Washington was born in Laurens County, Georgia on March 5, 1930, to the late Robert Davis and the Late Rosa Lee Collins. She transitioned on September 27, 2017 at Coliseum Hospital, Bibb County, Ga. after a brief illness.
Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie Lee Washington; a son, Cleveland Davis; a daughter, Angela Jackson Gainey, and three sisters, Ruby Worthen, Rosa Mae Walker, and Myrtle Coates.
Mrs. Washington was employed at Claxton Hospital, Laurens Memorial Hospital, and retired from Fairview Park Hospital as a labor and delivery nurse. At an early age, she joined Pearly Chapel Baptist Church where she served as an usher and as a member of the Food Ministry. When the churches merged, Mrs. Washington became a devoted member of Greater New Friendship Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her grandchildren, Kyawn Jackson, Jabbar Jackson, and Tonyetta (Chris Coombs) Jackson, all of Dublin: Michael Smith, North Carolina, and Danielle Davis, Texas; Four great-grandchildren, Tiquawn, Travunta, Areunna, and Kahlona; one sister, Rosetta Shinn, New York; a daughter-in-law, Eliza Davis, East Dublin; a son-in­law, Walter Gainey, Dublin; two devoted cousins, Bobby Coates, Conyers, Synuell Coates, Jr., Macon; three loving nieces who were her caregivers, Beverly Brown, Bobbie Franklin, and Debra Wright; two devoted friends, Otha Charles and Lucille Wilbur, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends are being received at the family residence, 637 Sommerset Drive, East Dublin, Ga.
Mrs. Washington will be placed in the church one hour prior to her services.
