Betty Nichols Parrish, 86, of Clover, SC, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, at White Oak Manor of York.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at York Wesleyan Church with the Reverends Curtis Williams and Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Holly UMC Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at York Wesleyan Church.
Betty was born on January 11, 1933 in York County. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Nichols and Virginia Ligon Nichols. She was a member at Mount Holly UMC of Rock Hill and worked as 911 Dispatcher for York County.
Betty is survived by her son, Ray Parrish (Melinda), daughters, Beth P. Holder (Willie), Phyllis P. Parker (Joey), grandchildren, Robert Holder, Dawn Glover (Donald), Will Holder (Ligon), Sadie Brown (Blake), Chad Parker (Lisa), Jodi Sturgis (Tim), Dalton Parrish (Maggie Armstrong), 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Elmer R. Parrish, Sr., brothers, Tommy Nichols and Snook Nichols.
