Betty Byers McGalliard, 86, of 1125 N. Shiloh Road passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at her home in York.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC with Rev. Thomas B. McPhail officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10-11:00 AM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Betty was a daughter to the late B.B. Byers and Ruby Fletcher Byers.. She was a member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church and was a retired school teacher in Mecklenburg County Schools.
She is survived by her husband James "Red" Robert McGalliard of York, SC, son, Baxter McGalliard (Kathy), daughters, Denise Reid (Jon), Carol McGalliard, grandchildren, Sarah Reid and Matthew Reid. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Walker and her brother Johnny Byers.
