YORK Betty Jean Daniels Beard, 79, of 808 N Congress St died Friday, August 26, 2011, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill . A memorial service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Filbert Presbyterian Church in America . Rev. Wallace Tinsley will be officiating. Betty Beard was a daughter of the late Herman Burton Daniels and Tennie Lupton Daniels. She was a loving wife and mother and a homemaker. She was a graduate of the N.C. School for the Deaf, and was a member at Filbert Presbyterian Church in America . She is survived by husband James Edward "Ed" Beard of York, SC, sons and daughters, David Beard of Concord, NC, Burt Beard of York, SC, Ann Beard of York, SC, Debbie Yelton of York, SC, Rick Beard of York, SC, sisters, Mildred Argyle of York, SC, Pat Lester of Houston, TX, brother, Ralph Daniels of Houston, TX, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Filbert Presbyterian Church in America Fellowship Hall on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Bratton Funeral Home in York is serving the Beard family.
