YORK – Betty Jean Lanier Adams of York, SC, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 peacefully at her home and surrounded by her loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with the Reverend David Brannen officiating.
Betty was born in York County and was the daughter of the late Mose Lanier and Mattie McDaniel Lanier. She worked as a secretary for over 35 years for Clemson Extension and for 20 plus years at York Seafood. She was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Adams Nunn (Kevin), Gregg Adams (Lisa), grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Peyton Nunn, McKayla Adams, Cheyenne Nunn, Ashlyn Adams, great grandchildren, Annabella Brown, Callum Rogers, and sister, Polly Adams.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Denise Brown and Providence Hospice of Rock Hill for their love and help to Ms. Betty.
