Beatrice Vashti Towery McNeilly, 95 of York, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Towery, Sr and Bessie White Towery Hoyle of Cleveland County, NC.
She was known by many things to many people: Wife, Mom, Granny, Vass, Grammy, Ms. B, and friend. She was a long standing member of Allison Creek Presbyterian Church. She had a heart of gold and impacted so many lives over her long life. When she loved, she meant it and her family was her world.
She is finally at rest with the Lord and reunited with her lifelong love, Durham, her husband of 72 years. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Lingerfelt, Zelma Houser, Vern Yancy, and Emma Smith; her brothers, Ed White and Samuel Towery; and her son-in-law, Ed Deese.
She leaves her legacy of love behind to her daughters, Linda Deese and Renee Biggerstaff; her four grandchildren, Brent Boheler (Karen), Sharon Henderson (Devin), Seth Boheler (Mandy), and Cody Biggerstaff (Erin); her six great grandchildren, Travis Harris, Riley Boheler, Cullen Boheler, Mckenzie Biggerstaff, Benjamin Biggerstaff, and Isla Biggerstaff; her brother Herbert Towery (Juanita); and her many nephews, neices and church family. She will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her.
