Archie Leon Gosnell, 73, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House at Southminster in Charlotte, NC.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
Leon was a son of the late Archie Gosnell and Gladys Jane Bridges Gosnell. He was retired from the United States Air Force, having served his county for 30 years. His love for America was evident in his life and his service to his country. He had a fun loving personality and was an advocate for children and animals his entire life.
Leon is survived by his wife Elaine Blackmon Gosnell of York, sons, Bryant Taylor of Gastonia, and Jeff Taylor of Belmont, sisters, Doris Burrell of Atlanta, Paula Whitley of Gastonia, Judy Boyd of Lincolnton, and brother Dan Gosnell of Gastonia, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of York County, 8177 Regent Parkway, Fort Mill, SC 29715, or to the Levine and Dickson Hospice House at Southminster, 8919 Park Road, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28210.
