Remembering Annie

A Celebration of Life Service for Mother Annie Lee Watkins Rogers will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 P. M. in the Millville Baptist Church. The Pastor Chris Watkins will officiate and interment will follow in the family plot in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Mother Annie Lee Watkins was born in Montrose, Ga. on December 2, 1930 to the late Leroy and Roxie(Ashley) Watkins. She joined the Millville Baptist Church at an early age. She transitioned from this life on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Mrs. Rogers was united in Holy Matrimony to the late John Wesley Rogers on August 13, 1963. She was Preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Pauline Rozier Watkins, grandson, Johnny Wesley Watkins, Toscanell (TC) Smith II and granddaughter, Monique Linen. Mrs. Rogers has been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Williamsbridge Manor Nursing Home in Bronx, N.Y., Dublinair Healthcare in Dublin, Ga., and Watkins Personal Care Home in Montrose, Ga. before she retired. She was a member of the Millville Baptist Church Missionary and Usher Departments. Mrs. Rogers leaves to mourn her passing a loving son, Johnny M. Watkins, Montrose, Ga., three daughters, Diane Watkins May, Montrose, Ga., Alethia Rogers, Bronx, NY., and Myrina Dickerson, Castle Hayne, N. C., Twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, a devoted brother and Sister-in-laq, Malcolm and Yvonne Watkins, devoted sister, Jessie Stephens all of Montrose, Ga., two sisters-in-law, Esther Bell Watkins, Dublin, Ga., and Clara Mae Watkins, Bronx, NY. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends Mrs. Rogers will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. Friends will be receive at the family residence, 1981 Isaac-Watkins Road and at the church one-half hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you please make memorial donations to the Millville Baptist Church Building Fund Arrangements entrusted to Wyche’s Funeral Home (www.wychesfuneralhomeinc.com)
