Annese Spencer McDaniel, 87, of Smyrna, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at White Oak Manor in York.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Canaan United Methodist Church in Smyrna. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Annese was a daughter of the late Ben Ervin Spencer and Sallie Bullock Spencer, and was the widow of Guy Alexander McDaniel. She was a member of Canaan UMC and was a retired seamstress from Oxford in Hickory Grove. Annese was a loving mother and grandmother and a great homemaker, and after her retirement she spent time enjoying her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Fox (Richard) of Rock Hill, Linda Martin (Ronnie) of York, Cheryl Slaughter (Tony) of Smyrna, brother, JB Spencer of Hickory Grove, sister, Geraldine Hutcherson of Hickory Grove, 7 grandchildren, and 17 geat grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan United Methodist Church, 4810 Canaan Church Road, Smyrna, SC 29743.
