Angela Murphy

Angela Jean Sightler Murphy was born on April 8, 1962 to her parents George Sightler, Jr. and Nancy Singleton of Lexington, SC. She graduated in SC from Saluda High School in 1979. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Filbert, in Clover, SC. She went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2020.
Surviving are her husband Richard Wallace Murphy of York, SC; son Timothy Dobson Murphy (Victoria) of York, SC; daughter Amanda Michelle Murphy of York, SC; father, George Sightler, Jr. of Lexington, SC; brother Franklin Singleton (Joan) of Columbia, SC; sister Linda Schumpert (George) of Saluda, SC; brother Jerry Sightler (Donna) of Ninety Six, SC, brother Lenny Starke (Karen) of Royal, VA; six grandchildren: Evan, Adalee, Cole, Kingston, Kenna and Karter all of York, SC. The Receiving of Friends will be at Bethel Baptist Church of Filbert in Clover, SC beginning at 10 am, followed by a memorial service at 11am with Pastor William Lingerfelt, Jr officiating. Her body will be laid to rest at Bush River Memorial Gardens in Columbia, SC with a graveside service at 3:30 pm. Gifts given in memory of Angela may be made to Hope Tract Ministry, P.O. Box 1115, York, SC 29745.
