Mary Anne (Andy) Robinson Lowry, of York, SC, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. Mrs. Lowry was born November 18, 1927, in Tarboro, NC. She was the daughter of the late Rev. C.E.B. Robinson and Susan Chase Robinson. Andy graduated from Margaret Hall Episcopal High School in Versailles, KY and Woman’s College of the University of NC in Greensboro. Mrs. Lowry is survived by her husband of 62 years, Samuel Kenneth (Bo) Lowry, Jr; son, Stephen Ernest Lowry and wife Fran of York; son, Samuel Kenneth Lowry, III, and wife Ellen of Charlotte; daughter, Susan Lowry Mason of Rock Hill and daughter, Cecilia Lowry Stevenson and husband Leslie of Camden, SC. Additionally, she is survived by six grandchildren; Clayton Mason and wife Olga, Chase Mason, McClure Lowry, Anne Lowry, Elise Lowry, Bo Lowry, and one great grandson Ethan Mason. Many dear friends also survive her. The family will receive friends at the Lowry family home on Wright Avenue in York from 5 – 7 PM on Thursday, August 9, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 10, 2012, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, York followed by interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will also receive friends following the interment in the church parish hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd, 108 East Liberty Street, York, SC 29745, the National Cathedral (rebuilding fund), Washington, DC, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
