Alice Moss

Alice McCallister Moss, 97, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Dellinger and Dr. Stephen Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-2 PM at Unity Baptist Church.
Alice was a daughter of the late Lark and Mattie Elliott McCallister. She was the widow of the late Roy L. Moss. Alice was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hickory Grove, SC, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a retired seamstress and served the community, always sharing compassion and care to those in need. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing, gardening, and baking. Alice enjoyed telling others about the love of Jesus, sharing her faith to everyone she came in contact with. She was a loving, gentle, kind, hardworking, and virtuous woman throughout her 97 years, always putting others before herself, and demonstrating the love of God to all.
She is survived by sons, Charles Lewis Moss (Marilyn) of Clover, Michael Scott Moss of Hickory Grove, grandchildren, Jerry Leon Moss, Jr., Sheryl Moss Burdette, Rick Moss, Tamera Dague, Charles Moss Jr., Todd Moss, 9 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her son Jerry Leon Moss, Sr., 5 brothers, and one sister.
