York--Alice Cain Hope, 71 of York, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at her home in York.
A graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Revs. Wallace Tinsley and Dave Hall officiating.
Alice was a member of Filbert Presbyterian Church of America and was retired from York School District # 1, where she worked at Hunter Street Elementary School.
She was born on October 1, 1948 to the late Lytle Cain and Fannie Youngblood Cain.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edgar “Ed” Hope, son, Matt Hope ( Jessica), sisters, Ferrie Green, Jimmie Cain, Mary Frances Cain, brothers, Roy Cain, Gene Cain, Buddy Cain and granddaughter, Ellisa Hope.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Cain, Bobby Joe Cain and sister Louise C. Ramsey.
