Funeral services for Mr. Zealous "Zeke" Roberts of Wrightsville will be held on Sunday, October 28 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Bill Oliver Road in Wrightsville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend James T. Jackson will officiate. Mr. Roberts who departed this life on October 23, 2012, was born June 17, 1943 in Wrightsville. He was preceded in death by his parents the late Linton and Pauline Roberts. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, L.Z. Roberts and Annie Ruth Outlaw and his wife, Mrs. Lucy G. Folsom Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Dock Kemp High School Class of 1963. He went on to serve our country by joining the United States Army in 1967, where he received a National Service Award as a Sharp Shooter. He was honorably discharged in 1969. He worked for Mohawk Commercial Carpet formerly known as Mohasco where he worked for 43 years until his retirement in 2009. Mr. Roberts leaves behind a stepson, Gary (Lashonda) Hackett of Macon; two sons, Ken (Shannon) Roberts of Dublin and Travis (Timikie) Roberts of East Dublin; four grandchildren, Taylor Ki-Loni Roberts of Stone Mountain, Damien Roberts of Dublin, JaTaia and Tamia Roberts of Dublin; two step grandchildren, Tameya and Kevin Strudwick of East Dublin; devoted brothers-in-law, Lamar Outlaw, David, John, Branham and Raymond Folsom; devoted sisters-in-law, Leretha Roberts, Ametha and Thomasenor Folsom and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at 4566 Liberty Grove Church Road in Wrightsville and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Saturday from 6-7 pm.
